QR code scanning with the Galaxy Fold Z4

So, it's been a while I know, sorry... but I found out something I didn't see much about online on help forums for WhatsApp or Signal. TL;DR - Cannot scan QR code with Samsung Fold for WhatsApp or Signal windows app connection? Unfold the phone and scan the code it'll connect up. Scan it when phones closed, it won't. True for both for connecting WhatsApp and Signal Windows 11 applications to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.  My Galaxy watch gave up the ghost after coming back from a hot holiday this summer (Cyprus, thanks for asking... was amazing) It was stuck in a never ending boot loop and even on flat battery, when it came back to life, it looped.  When I got home, I sent it off to Samsung for repair and they mailed me back saying; Now, from memory this is pretty close to the cost of the watch so I picked myself up off the floor and politely declined and said send it back, which they did.  When it arrived back, it turned on and worked. RESULT!  But I figured there's a

Updated again for 2017/18 promotion season ;) OK, another quick one for you SWFC fans out there as I wanst going to do this again this year as it seems theres a few others than no also do it but family pressures and the likes means here it is again with fixtures released this recently. Something to think about other than the Euro failure! If you were already subscribed to my calendar for the previous seasons, you need to do absolutely nothing :D Not only did we stay safe last season but we were 90 mins of hitting the Premiership. I'm sure DJ and CC have their sights firmly set for that this season though. Kicking off agasint recently relegated Villa and then Norwich is a challenging first month, but no matter where you look in the season theres focus we need to maintain to hit the prem. I've updated my shared calendar again so you know where and when. Hosted on google calendars and available to you and your Android/Windows/iPhone/pc/mac whatever device, nice and

Looks like the women's models of the Huawei Watch are getting discontinued. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw8tfbzDI I don't know if anyone's actually got one but I'd expect from this and the arrival of android wear 2.0 then, that it's no big shock. Not as much as how many Tag have sold anyway ;)

It's alright....

OK so to close off the Three saga previously posted. It proved to be quite a useful search around the service providers to see who actually offered the best value for my needs. Without a doubt the most important thing to me is data. I'm month on month using over 5GB but I do a lot of traveling so it's hardly surprising. I hardly make any old school voice calls and if I do they are normally for work (and I have a phone dedicated to work not play) Most providers now offer all you can eat or fat data usage but all bar Three also charge royally for it. You do get lots of minutes etc with this greater cost but that's a waste on me. So I spoke to a customer service rep at Three and discussed my issue with their contract and thoughts about moving. They walked through some options for me and I've tailored a new subscription to exactly what I wanted at less cost so all round, it's a win. Sticking with Three then and bought another One Plus Two.

Three UK; tell you one thing, do the other

So you have probably all seen the recent marketing with a Muppet and an old East 17 song that has a chorus of 'Alright Alright everything's going to be Alright' Three happily tell you the mobile industry sucks. I generally thought my time with three has been ace. They also tell you it's time to take a stand. HELL YES IT'S TIME. Today I got a letter from three. I've been with them for a decade. Working in AV and with some mobile hardware companies, I signed up back in the day in a London three store for a new contract and just gave the HTC wildfire phone I got to my wife, as I already had a phone. Over the years I kept my contact running paid on time and used it mostly for data.. I never upgraded handsets and just had a SIM free contract. About a year ago this contract was changed after someone from three called me and said I could change to a One Month rolling contract called the One Plan AND save money. Happy days, what's the catch... £17 all y
